Ida's Blessing Day

so i was going to have ida wear the dress i made for elsa's blessing but i became inspired when i was at the fabric store hitting up all the labor day sales. they had this really pretty ribbon that i was dying to make a tiered dress out of & that's when i decided the girls should have their own dresses to keep for their future babies. both were made within a couple of days of their blessings-which seems to be how i work best, under pressure...

i thought ida needed a little something on her head because her dress was so girly. i immediately called eliz the morning of-i new she would have something super cute to use- so if you look closely you can see a tiny little white rose on her nogin. (thanks jer for all your help) we put it on with carrow syrup, that eliz supplied, during sacrament. at one time the rose moved from ida's head to my arm & i couldn't stop laughing. i don't know how all you momz keep your little girls hair looking so cute all the time.

ida was an angel all through sacrament & adam did a wonderful job giving her blessing. thank you family & friends for joining in.

Almost 3 Months!

what can i say about ida- YUMMY- YUMMY- YUMMY!

she rolled over today- from her back to her tummy. it was adorable- she kept rolling to her side then back to her back then getting a little more momentum, going to her side again- then back- then finally onto her belly!
she's also giggling- sometimes out of the blue. mostly while we are playing with her though.
it's super hard to get a picture of her smiling or giggling because every time i bring the camera out she just stares blankly at it. i do get lucky sometimes- as shown below

19 Months

this beautiful blue bright eyed little gal is now a little over a year & 1/2 & she is delicious! she says pease (please) to everything & loves her books. we went to nursery for the first time last sunday. she walked right in & never looked back. she's so independent yet so needy at the same time. (she hates it when you leave the room at home)
please stay a little girl forever





these are a few of her favorite things to do lately:

she loves to jump onto mommy's lap with a book while ida's nursing.
she's discovered how fun it is to gently kick her little sister in the head or to squeeze her arms or legs.
she loves broccoli
when she hears the garage door she immediately says da & knows that daddy's home
she thinks putting a blanket over her head & walk into things is super funny.
she waves her hand in front of her nose & says sinky (stinky) when her diaper is poopy
she says the word caca a lot- but i have know idea what it means
