Happy Mothers Day!

so we had a sisters weekend and packed in tons of fun stuff-here we are making necklaces by putting pictures or collages inside two pieces of glass then you solder them together. sounds easy... not so much (i forgot to take a picture of the end results-and i didn't get mine finished cause i was making elsa's blessing dress)

our first stop was details a beautiful shop full of antiques and remakes of antiques. i prefer the white side it's way shabby chic. then we went to abode where everyone scored. after abode we stuffed our faces at minis a yummy sandwich and cupcake place. we went and saw "made of honor" after mini's and did a little shopping at the gateway. friday we drove south to see aunt maryanne's new house then to the beehive bazaar and dear lizzy's a cute cafe/store in alpine - a few of us stopped at ikea on the way home-then to thai siam for dinner - spending the rest of the evening making necklaces. saturday we- of course- did more shopping- had a mother's day lunch for ida- then went to check out the frosty darling- and then off to finish our necklaces. sunday we had elsa's blessing- a light family lunch- big family dinner (thanks ralph & ida) and a much needed walk. i'm pretty sure i gained 10 lbs over the weekend...

we missed you sondra- hope n.y.c. was fabulous!

so we buzzed elsa's hair a couple of weeks ago cause she had a mullet and little patches of long strands of hair all over. now we call her g.i. elsa and we think she looks adorable. but is this wrong to do to your baby? they do it in china

Mini's Not Just Cupcakes

i have a new favorite place to go for lunch. one of my best friends christina cummings gave me a 1/2 dozen mini cupcakes for my birthday. we cut them into fours and split them between four of us. they were soooo good i wanted another fix a couple of days later- so i grabbed some girlfriends and we went there for lunch today.

you get 1/2 sandwich salad and a cupcake for the mere price of $6.50 -bring your own drink-
